Spider13 viewsNot an Insect, but an Arachnid. In an attempt to find a method of killing that did not cause the legs to curl up, i used a few drops of TCP in a small vessle. 2Hrs later the specimen was transfered to 70 %ipa. Traditional methods are Ethyl Acetate or boiling water, neither of which i have tried. 2 days later there was some curling of the legs but these were straightened easily. Image stacks with CombineZ and photoshop background filling. Also the RHS leg III was straight and was photoshop angled in at the meta tarsus and tarsus joint for symetry. Unfortunately i have not yet identified. Spider total length leg tip to tip in image is 26mm Jan 04, 2009
